Target Audience: Middle-Level Classroom Teachers
Learning Intentions:
- We will learn about the importance of career exploration for young adolescent development.
- We will learn about how career exploration might be integrated at the school level.
- We will learn about how middle-level teams might integrate career exploration.
- We will learn about how advisory teachers might integrate career exploration into their advisory classes.
- We will learn about how teachers might integrate career exploration into their content classes.
The HIDOE Middle-Level Team was created in 2022 as part of Superintendent Hayashi's Priority Initiative to support and strengthen middle-level education across the state through organizing responsive professional development, providing accessible resources, and building systems of support. The team is comprised of Principal-in-Residence Jill La Boy, resource teacher Reychelle Ayau-Odom, resource teacher Sean Uwaine, PTT Gordon Nakamori, and Educational Specialist Sandy Cameli (OCID).
